How to Use AI for Studying

AI can be a powerful tutor if used correctly. The goal is to learn faster, not to bypass learning.

1. The "Feynman Technique"

  • Prompt: "I'm studying Photosynthesis. Quiz me on the process. Ask one question at a time. If I get it wrong, explain the answer simply."

2. Summarizing Complex Readings

  • Prompt: "Here is a PDF of a research paper. Summarize the 3 main arguments and the conclusion in bullet points. Then, list 5 key terms I should define."

3. Generating Flashcards

  • Prompt: "Create a table of 20 flashcards for 'European History: WWI'. Column 1: Term/Event. Column 2: Definition/Date. Format it so I can import it into Anki."

4. Essay Planning (Not Writing)

  • Prompt: "I need to write an essay on 'The impact of social media on mental health'. Help me brainstorm a thesis statement and an outline with 3 main body paragraphs."
