How to Use Claude AI
Claude (specifically Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Opus) is often preferred over ChatGPT for coding and nuanced writing. It feels more "human" and less robotic.
1. The Context Window
Claude has a massive context window (200k+ tokens). This means you can:
- Upload Books: Upload an entire PDF of a book and ask for a summary.
- Analyze Codebases: Upload multiple code files and ask for a refactor.
- Review Contracts: Upload legal documents and ask for risk analysis.
2. Writing with Claude
Claude excels at mimicking tone and style.
- Prompt: "Read this sample of my writing [paste sample]. Now write a blog post about AI trends in the same style."
- Result: You'll get output that sounds much less like "AI" and more like you.
3. Artifacts
Claude's "Artifacts" feature allows it to generate standalone content in a side window.
- Code: It can render React components, HTML/CSS websites, and SVG graphics instantly.
- Documents: It can create clean Markdown documents, emails, or memos that you can download.
4. Claude vs. ChatGPT
- Choose Claude for: Creative writing, coding, large document analysis, avoiding "AI-isms."
- Choose ChatGPT for: Web browsing, image generation (DALL-E), voice mode.
